"As is, this is an exploitive film that rips at healing wounds. We have taken a holistic approach to healing our people from the past injustices. It has been a long, hard road. It doesn’t help to have our struggle sensationalized in an inaccurate film that rips at our wounds and causes further undue pain, at the very time we are trying to heal together as a First Nation. Is this how you hope to help us?"

Letter to Greengreenwater filmmaker, Dec. 15, 2005

Greengreenwaterbiased.com was developed by Manitoba Hydro to correct misinformation and inaccuracies included in documentary film Green Green Water.

Green Green Water is a controversial look at hydroelectric development in northern Manitoba and the impacts on Aboriginal people. Manitoba Hydro participated in the making of this film in the hope it would result in an honest examination of these impacts and the measures taken to resolve them. Regrettably, the film fails to honestly portray reality in Northern Manitoba.

We hope this Web site provides the necessary information for people to make an informed decision about the film and its subject matter.
